Albert Tecci LMFT

In my therapeutic work I am drawn to people’s stories and the language of those stories. The tales we tell ourselves (or that were told to us) and the memories that we most connect to are connected by themes and meanings that hold a significant level of influence. I aim to help people move away from stories that have negative meaning or that may not align with their values towards stories that highlight their capabilities, values, and hopes.

I believe the foundation for that work is based on creating a relaitonship. Thereapy can be difficult, demanding a level of honest vulnerability. It cannot be expected you will be able to enter into that work without feeling safe in the relationship. It is my hope I can create a non-judgmental space where you feel supported enough to be yourself and author your future.

After a few early career years in the human services field, I completed a Masters in Vocational Rehabilitation from UMass Boston and spent the next several years working in programs for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. I completed a CAGS in Marriage and Family Therapy at UMass Boston in 2013. In 2015 I gained lisensure in Marriange and Family Therapy (MA lisence number -1525).

I work primarily from a Narrative Therapy stance. In addition I utilize techniques from CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Polyvagal Theory. I have also completed training as a Gottman Institute Bringing Baby Home facilitator.

To be able to support people across the state and to make every session more accessible I am currently offering virtual appointments, only. If you have any questions about the therapy process or what is like to work together please reach out.
